Tierr@_de_N@die: Some months ago I wrote a post speaking about the doughnut economics as a hopeful approach to a future that must certainly change if we want to live in harmony with the Planet. Now, from the other part of the Earth, from Australia, the thoughts from an economist regarding this fast spreading idea full of meaning. Yes, no doubts, there is hope at the end of this weird year, happy New year!
This is a challenge not only to economics but also to individual economists.
For better or worse, our discipline has a lot of power in the modern world and our views carry disproportionate weight.
We need the best of our economic minds helping us to build frameworks that will keep us in the doughnut. The future of our species depends on it.
